# TabShop Server

> TabShop Server is a self-hosted back office for small shops (café, restaurant, bakery, boutique, corner store). It manages stock, products, invoices, customers, suppliers and purchase orders on your own hardware in your own network. Your data, your server, no subscription, no hidden fees, no cloud, no sensitive data shared with a foreign provider. You run it, you own it.

## Key facts

- Runs on your own hardware: Raspberry Pi, old PC, NAS, Docker or small VPS.
- Cost: free to self-host. No monthly licence, no fee per user, terminal or invoice.
- Privacy: all data stays in one SQLite file plus an upload folder on your server. No cloud connection.
- Technology: single Go binary, web UI, REST API, Docker image.
- Till: TabShop Android app (offline-capable), connected by QR code.
- UI languages: English, German, Spanish, Thai.
- Licence: Elastic License 2.0 (source-available).

- AI shop assistant (default name Sam, configurable): your always-on back-office assistant that takes orders and questions by email or in a chat tile on the landing page and answers immediately – stock levels, restock checks, purchase orders sent to suppliers, backups, revenue and sales reports, scheduled tasks and create/change/delete of products, suppliers, customers, taxes and discounts. Only email from registered admin users is answered, every conversation is logged with tokens and model, and it uses your own OpenAI, Anthropic or Google account
